The NACE Southern Ontario Student Section (SOSS) is proud to announce that we will be returning in-person as we host our 12th annual Research Symposium! We will continue to follow the guidelines set in place by the province to ensure the safety of all participants. This year’s symposium will be held on Thursday August 4th and Friday August 5th, 2022 at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. It will feature keynote presentations from industry professionals, student oral and poster presentations, and an alumni panel!

This two day symposium will be attended by prominent academics, industry professionals, and students, and is dedicated to the state of the art research in the field of corrosion and protection.

Abstract themes should focus on corrosion, surface science, and electrochemistry.

All abstracts are due by JUNE 24, 2022.  Abstracts should be submitted to nace.soss@gmail.com by midnight on this date. Indicate in the body of the email whether you would like to give an oral presentation, poster presentation, or both.

Registration is FREE and is open until Monday August 1st, 2022 at noon.

A monetary prize will be awarded to the top oral and poster presentations.

Abstract Guidelines

We are accepting abstracts for student oral and/or poster presentations! Abstracts should be no more than 300 words in length, and should include the poster/presentation title, the presenting author's name, and any contributing authors.
